Guest posting can be a scary proposition. Will you get it right? Or, will you embarrass yourself?

Deby, over at www.moms-make-money.com put out a call for guest bloggers for this topic: What Advice Would You Give Newbie Bloggers?
It got me thinking about when I first entered the blogesphere, years and years ago. I was already a writer, albeit not a writer who blogged (yet). I wasn’t trying to make money off my blog, either. In those days it was more of a way to keep up with family and friends, and a place for me to blow off stream. But, the byproduct was I learned about what worked and what fell flat.
Many of today’s bloggers hope to make their blogs profitable. So, what could I offer to those getting into the medium?
One thing I know intimately about writing, one thing I still strive to hone today, is the importance of finding your unique voice in a marketplace packed with voices. You are uniquely you and there is no one quite like you; use that to your advantage.
